Prior to pursuing her Masters, Tracy’s experience, and passion for helping others came from working with at-risk and in custody youth in a wilderness therapy capacity, as well as working with adult offenders in a community setting. In efforts to expand her experience and worldview, Tracy worked alongside police assisting victims of crime and/or tragic circumstances. Tracy’s work with individuals involved in human trafficking increased her commitment and drive for helping others who are struggling in finding inner peace. Tracy supports a vast population of neuro-diverse clients of all ages (children, youth, adults, couples, and families). Moreover, Tracy has extensive experience with anxiety, depression, grief, family relationships, domestic violence, post-traumatic stress, developmental and childhood trauma, and trauma.
Tracy is a compassionate and caring therapist who provides a safe and supportive atmosphere, fostering a strong healing relationship, to help clients achieve their goals. Her empathetic and straightforward approach helps clients gain self-awareness by exploring their inner self and past experiences, to help make sense of present-day challenges. Tracy uses a collaborative approach allowing an individual’s own unique healing journey to take place, with her therapeutic lens as a safe guide in the process.
Tracy works from a client-centered, integrative framework of trauma-informed therapies, based on Attachment Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Sand Tray Therapy and Psychodynamic Therapy. Additionally, Tracy has experience in Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT) and incorporates mindfulness-based practices. Tracy continuously participates in on-going training with a special focus on children and families utilizing therapeutic play-based interventions. Tracy’s approach assists clients to take responsibility for their own actions, to support movement towards their desired therapeutic journey of change.
